"Crushed by rejection and maimed by a cat..."

Everyone's heard of Superman, Batman, and Stilt-Man, but the best superheroes are the ones that fall through the cracks. As a small atonement for his blameworthy work on 52, I present Keith Giffen's Argh! Yle! - easily the most evil sock in the DC multiverse.

Basically, Giffen created Argh!Yle! as the nemesis for Ambush Bug, who was himself only used to highlight the stupidity of the DC forgotten continuity (like Supergirl's horse/centaur/love interest Comet). Even more impressive, this was back in the 1980s, when self-referential comic books were limited to English writers.

So why bring up Argh!Yle!? (other than to test out the exclamation point key) I'm bored/depressed about starting another semester of "Writing for Troglodytes," and I'm not in the mood to work on lesson plans.
